The Town of Windsor is committed to encouraging new or existing business expansion in the areas of research and development, manufacturing, processing and distribution that will bring quality economic growth to our community. The Town also supports pursuing commercial/industrial growth that complements existing businesses. The Town is extremely interested in expanding core job growth that will sustain long-term economic success.

In an effort to encourage high quality, primary a basic sector investment and job creation, the Town of Windsor has established several possible incentives to companies that are interested in locating in the community or expanding if certain criteria are met.

The Town of Windsor also prioritizes commercial/industrial projects in its development review process, thus shortening approval time frames.

Windsor Vision 2020

Created through a community visioning process by which the people who live and work in, and care about Windsor come together in an informal setting to determine the future direction of our community. People gathered together to explore the possibilities the future might present and determine how to best address those possibilities in a strategic manner.

• Windsor is a friendly, attractive community where the future embraces the past; where families can afford to live; where children are educated for adulthood; and where business and community are mutually compatible.
• To insure that the Town of Windsor has adequate community parks and open space; a community center that offers a variety of recreational programs; and cultural amenities that will sustain a high quality of life for the people of our community regardless of their age and/or economic status.

To make the vision a reality; it will take a real effort from a number of organizations and individuals, each working together for the good of all.
