The Windsor Re-4 School District includes the towns of Windsor and Severance, and encompasses an area 8.5 miles north of Windsor, 2 miles west, 6 miles east, and 6 miles south of town for a total of nearly 100 square miles. The school district currently has 7 schools, with 2 new proposed schools for future development.

Windsor is privileged to have an additional education option in our community for grades K-8. This is the Windsor Charter Academy. The Academy provides students with expanded choices in educational opportunities.

Windsor stands behind its schools and the school district has endeavored to grow and expand as the community gets larger. Several remodeling and expansion projects have been completed in our schools and we will continue to review growth in the district in the years to come.

 
 

Colleges and Universities:

University of Northern Colorado – UNC
Located in Greeley
The campus has more than 30 buildings on 240 acres, with an enrollment of over 10,500 students. UNC offers more than 100 academic programs in its Graduate School and five colleges.

Colorado State University – CSU
Located in Fort Collins
CSU enrolls approximately 21,000 students, and there are over 100 buildings on the 833 acre main campus.

Front Range Community College - FRCC
Located in Fort Collins and Loveland
This community college is a two-year institution offering associate degree programs, guaranteed transfer courses, vocational certificate programs, continuing education for adults, and customized training for business and industry.

Aims Community College
Located in Greeley, Loveland, and Fort Lupton, Aims Community College serves over 19,000 students annually. It provides an affordable and convenient way for residents to earn an Associate of Arts degree in Northern Colorado.
